At taenke eksistensen
2009
Dansk
In my first contribution to this anthology in Danish, which I edited in 2009, I make a distinction between existentialism and philsophy of existence which I use in my second contribution to analyze the way three different philosophers of existence take up the word "humanism" after the Second World War. These philosophers are Jean-Paul Sartre, Martin Heidegger and Karl Jaspers. After a critical interpretation of each of their treatises on humanism, I look elsewhere, namely to three of their "disciples", Hans-Georg Gadamer, Hannah Arendt and Emmanuel Lévinas, to find a revival of the humanistic tradition.
